International Student Idea & Design Competition for Sustainable Neighbourhood Regeneration, SuvelaSURGE, is now open! The competition is part of the programme of activities associated to SB11 Helsinki.
The main mission for competition proposals is to change the image of Suvela into a balanced, sustainable, agile area with culturally rich and realistically argued prospects for the close future.
The mission of the student teams is to present their ideas for regeneration and redevelopment of three existing structures - Public, Private and People - in Suvela. The three are part of the main axis of the district, although they differ in nature. The thematic approach for each is underlined and the
specific mission described below.
It must be noticed that the solutions presented should make sense not only individually but also as a whole. Integrated solutions from a holistic perspective will be very much appreciated.
