The aim of AIPi, the Italian association of interior designers, is to institutionalise, identify and reappraise the figure of
the interior designer. Through this competition, we want to highlight the cultural, creative and technical qualities of the
interior designer whose task it is to:
Identify , research and creatively resolve problems relating to the function of the interior.
Carry out services relating to interiors that include programming, drawing up the project, taking care of the aesthetics and
inspection of the work and using his or her practical skills and specialised knowledge of the creation of interiors, building
systems and components, building regulations, equipment, materials and furnishings.
Prepare the drawings and documents regarding the project for the interior space.
Improve the quality of life and protect the health, safety and well-being of the public .
(This document was adopted by the General Assembly of the I.F.I in Hamburg in May 1983 and was reconfirmed in the
ECIA Assembly in 1992. AIPi is a founding member of ECIA ).
